Jenny McConnell - Spiritual Director
I am a Certified Professional Life Coach and am currently studying to be a Spiritual Director. I have been working in the education and disabilities field since 1990. I have a Master's in Special Education, an Associate Diploma in Creative Arts, and a Certificate from the Yale School of Emotional Intelligence. I am a mother of three teenage boys who are neurodiverse. Two of my three boys and myself have a hearing impairment.
My Approach to Spiritual Direction
Spiritual Direction is a process of deep listening. I attune myself to your experiences and to God's guidance when supporting you in discerning His voice. It’s a journey of connection and relationship, inviting you to be still and cultivate a contemplative spirit.
I am also passionate about helping individuals discover their true identity through the lens of Jesus.

What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction is for people of faith who long to deepen their relationship with God by exploring His voice, but may feel uncertain about how to move forward.
In our sessions, I create space for quiet contemplation, where God can speak to you personally. This gentle process nurtures a closer relationship with Him and often brings breakthroughs in your spiritual journey. Throughout the process, I offer personalized guidance shaped around your unique faith journey. My role as a Spiritual Director is not to give you answers but to help you hear God’s voice for yourself and experience true transformation.
I listen to your needs and seek God’s guidance, and it is my hope that our time together will be both meaningful and impactful. Typically, I work with individuals over a 6–12 month period, however people have been known to travel with their Spiritual Director for years. Clear communication, authenticity, and surrending to the process is key to effective and transformative sessions.
Our sessions may include prayer, scripture exploration, thoughtful reflection, and resources that help open new perspectives. I ask questions that encourage deeper insight and support you as you grow in faith.
As a Spiritual Director, I draw on my Christian experience since 1987 and my 2 year program, to offer prayer, encouragement, and wisdom with compassion and understanding in a non-judgemental way.
Whether you are a seasoned Christian or exploring God and faith for the very first time, I am here to walk with you, listen to you, and support you as you draw closer to Him.
